A beautifully secluded cabin for two, tucked into its own private glade overlooking the sea.

Barnacle is a rather special place to escape to. Hand-built and thoughtfully designed, it combines the wildness and seclusion of Davaar with all the comforts you want when you come in from a day outdoors.

Inside, oak-framed windows and doors fill the cabin with light and frame the views across the water. There’s a wonderfully comfortable double bed, an en-suite shower room and a beautifully equipped kitchen, with lots of thoughtful touches to make it feel like a proper home from home.

Outside, the covered veranda looks straight out to sea, with your own fire pit for slow breakfasts, cooking outdoors or sitting beside as the sun goes down. Barnacle sits entirely on its own, surrounded by nature and with no passing traffic, neighbours or distractions.

It’s luxurious in a quiet, understated way — beautifully made, exceptionally comfortable and completely private.

Barnacle Cabin and Minke Cabin are over 300m apart, separated by a small hill providing complete privacy between the two (see site map below).  They both have their own  pathways for access.  Each cabin has entirely separate facilities, as well as private footpaths down to the shoreline below.
