Once a wartime signal station, The Lookout sits high on the hillside above Davaar Lighthouse, with far-reaching views across Kilbrannan Sound towards Arran and Ailsa Craig. Small, secluded and full of character, it is a wonderfully peaceful place for two.

Inside, there is a comfortable open-plan sitting room and kitchen with a wood-burning stove, alongside a king-size bedroom and ensuite shower room. An original ladder leads through a hatch to the observatory above — a quiet room with a telescope and binoculars for watching the sea, passing boats and wildlife.

From the observatory, a door opens onto the private roof terrace, with outdoor seating and a fire pit. It is a lovely spot for morning coffee, an evening drink or simply watching the changing light across the water. With no immediate neighbours and the island stretching out around you, The Lookout feels wonderfully removed from everyday life.
